Camp 2020

Picture
Missing out on summer camp because of COVID-19? Here are a few things you could do at home. It's not the same as a camp experience, but we hope you enjoy it! Dean Kathy & Dean Hillary are excited to see you next summer! A Day at Camp would include games, crafts, singing, a Bible story, activities, prayer, a bedtime story and much more. You can find many of those components in the playlist below!

Bible Story Time

Read about Zacchaeus in your Bible (Luke 19:1-10) or watch the video
Then make this Zacchaeus story board.
Activities

Go on a Nature Scavenger Hunt (like this one)
Go on a Family Prayer Walk (learn more here)
Make a God's Eye craft

Have fun at the "beach" or freeze coins in water (if you freeze the water in layers, you can get coins or other objects throughout the block of ice) and see how fast you can get them out! Have a water balloon toss. Get a few pool noodles and play a game.

Check out the United Methodist Church Virtual Day Camp.

Sing Silly Songs!

Here are a few to get you started!

Bedtime Story

We love to read bedtime stories before we tuck in for the night. Here's a book about prayer and a family guide that you can use to talk more about prayer with your family. Then you might use the Psalm 108 prayer as one way to pray. How does your family pray? What are different ways that you could pray together? Who do you want to pray for today?
